APPLICATION : 

 AN EFFECTIVE ORGANIC ALTERNATIVE TO SYNTHETIC FUNGICIDES FOR THE MANAGEMENT OF PADDY BLAST.

COMPOSITION :

TOTAL DISSOLVED SOLIDS – COMPRISING OF COMPLEX OF ALKALOIDS
EXTRACTED FROM LANTANA CAMARA AND ADHATODA VASICA.         10.00% (MIN.)W/W

3 GMS PER LITRE OF WATER DEPENDING ON THE INFESTATION RATE.

WHAT IS PADDY BLAST ?

PADDY BLAST IS A FUNGAL DISEASE AFFECTING THE LEAF, NECK AND NODES OF THE PADDY CROP.

HOW PADDY BLAST AFFECTS THE CROP ?

THE FUNGUS PIRICULARIA ORYZAE PRODUCES CHARACTERISTIC SPOTS ON THE LEAVES OF THE PADDY PLANT AND THERE BY REDUCES THE EFFECTIVE PHOTOSYNTHETIC AREA OF THE LEAF. IN SEVERE CASES OF ATTACK NUMEROUS SPOTS DEVELOP AND THE ENTIRE LEAF BECOMES NECROTIC. LIKE ALL PARASITIC FUNGI IT ABSORBS NOURISHMENT FROM THE HOST AND CONSEQUENTLY WEAKENS THE PLANT. THE FUNFUS IS CAPABLE OF ATTACKING THE PANICLES AND MAY RESULT IN EMPTY EARHEAD OR THEIR PREMATURE FALL BY PRODUCING A ROT AT THE NODES OR THE BASE OF THE EAR HEAD.

THE DISEASES CAN AFFECT PADDY AT ALL GROWTH AND ALL AERIAL PARTS OF THE PLANT ( LEAF, NECK AND NODE ).

CONTROLLING CROP FROM PADDY BLAST  :

SEVERAL CHEMICAL FUNGICIDES ARE USED FOR CONTROLLING PADDY BLAST. THE CHEMICAL FUNGICIDES HAVE THEIR OWN DISADVANTAGE LIKE VERY HIGH RESIDUAL TOXICITY OF THESE CHEMICALS TO MAN AND LIVESTOCK. ALSO RAMPANT AND UNCONROLLED USE OF CHEMICAL FUNGICIDES HAS RESULTED IN DEVELPING RESISTANCE BY THE CAUSAL ORGANISM.

WITH THESE DISADVANTAGE OF CHEMICAL PESTICIDES, K-BLAST OFFERS HIGHLY EFFECTIVE AND SAFE SOLUTION IN THE MANAGEMENT OF PADDY BLAST IN FOLLOWING WAYS :
